The inspiration for catiOasis came from a simple desire: to enrich the lives of our own cats.
Our cats have always been indoor-only because we didn’t have a safe way for them to enjoy the outdoors. But we noticed how much they loved the little moments they could have - lounging on windowsills to soak up the sun, pawing at the glass when birds or butterflies caught their attention, and watching the world go by.
We knew there had to be a better way to give them the outdoor experience they craved while keeping them safe and sound. We dreamed of a unique cat enclosure that would complement our home while offering plenty of fun and enrichment for our cats to explore.
Finding the perfect solution wasn’t easy, so we decided to create our own. Before long, friends and neighbours started asking us to build custom catios for their cats too - and just like that, catiOasis was born.
Ken is a professional general contractor (yes, he’d be happy to take a look at that flickering light or loose stair), Rebecca works at the BC SPCA, and most importantly, we love cats.
We’re passionate about creating outdoor spaces where cats can safely climb, explore, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. With our combined experience, every catio is thoughtfully designed and built with your cat’s safety, comfort, and happiness in mind.
